Cold front coming with storm warning issued for Perth

The Bureau of Meteorology has asked West Australians to prepare for a strong cold front that is forecast to move across southwest WA from Wednesday afternoon.

The front will produce severe thunderstorms from Wednesday evening, with conditions expected to ease as it spreads inland on Thursday morning.

Damaging wind gusts of around 100km/h are possible, along with heavy rainfall that could lead to flash flooding in coastal areas from Bunbury to Jurien Bay.

Conditions are forecast to ease below warning thresholds in the South West from late Wednesday evening, and through the remainder of the warning area on Thursday morning.
