‘Pretty magical’: Jesinta and Buddy Franklin’s glam home for sale
By Kristy Johnson
Jesinta Franklin is in “no rush” to sell the glamorous Gold Coast home she shares with husband Buddy.
But once they find the right buyer and offer, they will begin working towards their dream abode.
“We are in no rush to sell. This is a special home and it will be about finding the right buyer and obviously the right offer,” Jesinta exclusively tells Nine’s property team.
“If and when we sell, our dream is to buy some land and build a luxury farmhouse. Something that is considered and beautifully designed and built, but also feels lived in and classic.”
Jesinta and Sydney Swans megastar Buddy, who wed in 2016, will engage Tidal Constructions, who also built Villa Casa, their dreamy mansion which is now for sale.
The couple purchased the seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom property in November 2022, and have since hosted many dinner parties and gatherings with friends and family.
“There is such a beautiful feel to the home that can only be felt in person, pictures and videos don’t do it justice,” Jesinta says, when asked what drew her to the home.
“There is so much natural light and combined with all the curves, it makes this home feel very special. Considered design and quality are things I am drawn to in a home.”
The property has a Mediterranean aesthetic with a sleek white exterior, gentle curves and romantic arches.
Interiors are just as glamorous, and so it comes as no surprise Jesinta has utilised the home for photoshoots and campaigns.
The former Miss Universe Australia opened the mansion’s doors for a glossy spread with Marie Claire Australia last year.
Standout details include the lime-rendered walls, chevron-patterned timber floors and marble accents.
The show-stopping kitchen with a half-moon island bench made from white dolomite marble and travertine tiles is what Jesinta considers the “heart of the home”, and a part of daily life with children Tullulah and Rocky.
“Making breakfast for Tullulah and Rocky in the kitchen while watching the sun rise over the ocean is pretty magical,” she reflects.
“We’ve hosted many dinner parties and on one occasion we watched a big red super moon rise over the ocean while we had people over… that was absolutely amazing.
“There’s a big butler’s pantry behind the kitchen too which is just as stunning, equipped with two ovens and a built-in coffee machine. It’s great when entertaining to have that extra space for caterers and chefs.”
Entertaining is at the forefront of the home with a terrace, magnesium pool with swim-up bar, outdoor barbecue and games room.
The space to entertain is what Jesinta says she will miss the most.
“We had 20 family and friends stay with us on New Year’s Eve and it was incredible to be able to host that many people,” she says.
“We always have visitors and people coming to stay. I love a full home, it’s special.”
Luxury and an attention to detail is evident in the home, particularly the main suite. There is a vaulted tunnel that leads to the dressing room and bathroom that’s more aptly described as a day spa.
A circular stone bath presents itself as a work of art and there’s also a laundry chute in the master for the utmost of convenience.
Jesinta and Buddy are putting the home to auction at 11am on Saturday, August 10, unless sold prior. Amir Mian and Justin Haynes of Amir Prestige Group are the listing agents.
There is no price guide as Queensland law prohibits agents from setting price guides for homes going to auction.
Reedy Creek is about a 20-minute drive south of the heart of the Gold Coast.
